My photography isn't great, but with much apprehension I stitched out your rick rack on a smocked top that I had already finished. I was so nervous that I would mess up and ruin the top. I'm thrilled to report that with your wonderful tutorial I was able to stitch this out successfully - even on this corduroy. I'm thrilled with the result. My camera was acting up and it looks as if the colors of the hand embroidered smocking and the machine embroidered rick rack don't match, but they really are a perfect match. :) Now I can't wait to stitch out more of this rick rack!"
