often copied, NEVER equaled!

They are oh-sew-simple to make ITH (In-The-Hoop), and once I started ~~baking~~ .. oops stitching, I couldn't stop ~ here's my FIRST bakers dozen!

Cupcake pincushions are SEW delicious, especially with ZERO calories and no fat! Of course, "sprinkles" are optional, but hey, what's a cupcake without sprinkles! Sprinkles are TOOOO crazy fun!

Yes, they look good enough to eat, so get 'em while they are HOT!!

Since my MIL doesn't prefer cherries, I put her initial on her special cupcake. Well, lookie there .. there's a cupcake with MY initial on it too! YAY!

The cupcake pincushion makes a great gift for your embroidery friends .. and your sewing guild buddies! How many quilters do you know? Ohhhhh .. what a SWEET stocking stuffer this cupcake pincushion will be for all of them!

Made in-the-hoop with fleece or felt, each cupcake pincushion stitches in less than 7 minutes .. so a whole batch takes no time at all!

Answers to FACQ (Frequently Asked Cupcake Questions .. lol!)

1) I used Wilton Baking and Craft Cups ~ they are available at Joanns, Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc in the Wilton baking section OR via www.wilton.com

2) the MSRP of the (12) Wilton Baking Cups is $9.99. I used a 40% off coupon, so each cup costs $0.50

3) the cherry-on-top is a berry from a Christmas spring (17 berries on a sprig for $0.69, so .. approximately $0.05 - a nickel per cherry)

4) one half of a 2 1/2" styrofoam ball is used .. approximately $0.25

5)  yes, the cupcake is "stuck" to the silicone baking cup .. after trying EVERY adhesive in my home, I found a small piece of "foam" carpet tape does the trick!    I purchased the carpet tape at the dollar store years ago ~ I know Target carries it! Gayle discovered that Silicone Caulk works great too ~ THANKS Gayle!

6) The "sprinkles" are bugle beads (jewelry-making supplies) that I hand-sewed on!

7) The display stand is Wilton "Cupcakes 'N More Dessert Stand" for (13) cupcakes .. Wilton also offer models for (23), (24) and (38) cupcakes! I purchased mine at Joanns ~ check the Wilton section in your store, or www.wilton.com!
