Oh my, you are gonna love these TIME SAVING, "how-did-I-live-without-them" designs!  And since necessity is the mother of invention, I must first tell you my sad story ...

I wanted to make some coordinating accessories for my dear niece's graduation gift, and I decided on In-The-Hoop zipper bags.  I found the perfect fabrics, and I really, REALLY wanted them quilted.  Regardless of the fact I would have to use my sewing machine to quilt the fabrics, I continued with my plan, and convinced myself I CAN DO THIS!

I carefully used my clear quilting ruler to mark the grid lines ..

and I carefully layered the fabrics and batting ..

and I carefully attached my new walking foot to my sewing machine ..

I put on my "cheaters" to make sure I could see the perfectly-chalked-sewing-grid-lines ..

and then I began sewing.

Well, to make a long story short .. my sewing machine can't sew crooked lines, let alone a bunch of straight lines!  I admit to being a bit of perfectionist, but YIKES .. none of the squares were square! 

Plan B = I digitized quilting grids so the stitching is STRAIGHT and ACCURATE every time, and my embroidery machine does all the work!  YAY!

My niece is going to college in the Fall, and she received a new laptop!  There's another looooong story about my attempts to make a laptop bag, but we'll save that for another time ..   LOL!  Anyhoo, here's the zippered bags .. she loved them all!

Of course you can add a "bottom layer of fabric" to make a fabric/batting/fabric sandwich .. AND your newly quilted fabric becomes REVERSIBLE!  This keeps getting better and BETTER!
